Throughout this pandemic, maintaining the safest possible training environment for our instructors and students has been our top priority.

With that in mind, Chamberlain Studios of Self Defense continues to monitor CDC guidelines and seek guidance from medical professionals. In light of recent increases in COVID cases in Dallas County, we have made some changes to our safety protocols.

Per Dallas County Guidelines, ALL class participants and visitors to the dojo must wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

We do not have to remind our adult students that Warrior Weekend is quickly approaching. In addition to our usual reminders to be careful with one another and avoid injuries leading up to this important event, this year we must extend those concerns to COVID safety.

We will require proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test before attending Warrior Weekend. Details to follow soon.

This is an important weekend for all of our students. No one wants to miss it due to a positive COVID test!

Please keep in mind that everyone has different concerns and comfort levels in regards to COVID exposure. Whether, when, and with whom to make contact is a personal decision. Talk to your partners. If someone is not making contact or is only making contact with a few people, please respect their space. If you are having symptoms, please do not come to class- we will understand, and thank you for it!

We will continue to update these procedures as needed in order to keep our dojo family safe. THANK YOU for your support in protecting our dojo community!

Quarantine Protocols

If you have been determined to have had close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19, we will adhere to the following CDC recommended quarantine guidelines:

If you are unvaccinated

You should quarantine and monitor for symptoms for 10 days after exposure. If you have symptoms, immediately self-isolate.

If you are vaccinated

You are not required to quarantine unless you have symptoms. Fully vaccinated people should get tested 3-5 days after your exposure, even if you don’t have symptoms. You should wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days or until your test is negative. You should isolate for 10 days if your test result is positive.
