Brew Master's Workout Designed by
Martial Arts Professor Nick Chamberlain and Head Brew Master John Sims

WHO: 38 year old Dallas based Chamberlain Studios of Self Defense, the recently opened Oak Highlands Brewery and Genesis Women's Shelter.

WHAT: The 5th Brew HaHa benefiting Genesis Women's Shelter featuring a fitness workout incorporating martial arts moves and the daily physical challenges of a brew master. The group workout of interval circuit training involves kicking and punching bag drills, a grain bag squat and toss, a ceiling keg hoist, pushups, kettle bells, medicine balls, squats, heavy ropes, loading bags of barley and ending with beer curls. In addition participants can 'Break a Board for a Buck' where they are taught how to break a wooden board with their bare hand; each 'buck' benefits Genesis.

The hour workout conducted by Professor Chamberlain, a 10th degree black belt, is open to the public at a $20 entry fee. The $20 fee will cover the hour workout, a Brew HaHa t-shirt (first 30 ppl), a free pint glass, 3 OHB beers, music and bar games. The newly debuted Potbelly Food Truck will be there for lunch options.

Ages eight and up can participate in the fitness workout (parental supervision required). Each participant will be entered into a drawing which will award a complimentary month of karate at Chamberlain Studios of Self Defense. Fitness attire recommended.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of cash or gift cards for groceries, fast food or everyday items which will be delivered to Genesis Women's Shelter.

WHEN:  Saturday, ?, 2019; 11:00 am-1:00 pm

WHERE: Tank side within the Oak Highlands Brewery Room; 10484 Brockwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75238

WHY: Long time friends Professor Nick Chamberlain and OHB Head Brew Master John Sims support Genesis Women's Shelter through independent means yet wanted to combine their efforts in a fun, physical challenge that could also act as a fundraising and awareness drive. Chamberlain Studios also provides private self defense courses to Genesis offering another way for the Genesis woman to become empowered during her transition. Throughout the Brew HaHa any and all women can sign up for the annual complimentary Chamberlain Studios' women's self defense course on ?, 2017.
